This is a view of Copacabana
Beach from above. The white structure
is historical Forte de Copacabana,
near the Arpoador Park. If your hotel
room does not have a view like this you
can always have breakfast at one of the
hotels along the beach. It is the perfect
excuse for you to take your camera on a
ride all the way to the restaurant on the
top floor... |
This is a
view of the other end of Copacabana
Beach, on the Leme side. The tall round
hill is the famous Sugarloaf in Urca -
the one with the cable cars. For the
traditional horseshoe photo of the beach
take the catwalk around Morro do Leme,
the rock at the far end. |

Beachside
cafes and restaurants, colorful beach
kiosks and even cars add a splash of
color to the white and blue. A number of
native trees on the sidewalk and coconut
trees lined up on the sand provide a
welcome shade in hotter days. |
A closer
look into scenic Forte de Copacabana.
You are welcome to visit the cultural
center and walk around the premises. Walk
uphill to for a view of Diabo, Arpoador,
Ipanema and Leblon beaches. We hope you
remembered to bring some extra rolls of
film. |
