Carros Alegóricos = Floats: Each samba school can bring along from 6 to 8 floats to the Sambodrome. Some are very sophisticated and have moving parts and special effects, but it's the people who populate them that really make the difference. The famous DNA Float by Unidos da Tijuca proves this point beautifully.
